In the Leningrad region, servicemen of the Keletsko-Berlin artillery brigade of the combined arms army of the Western Military District (ZVO) began live firing from closed firing positions at targets imitating enemy fortifications and armored structures.

The crews of the 152-mm self-propelled howitzers 2S3M “Akatsiya” and 2S19 “Msta-S” fire both direct fire and from closed firing positions along a hinged trajectory, hitting targets at ranges from 7 to 15 km.

In addition, the howitzers’ crews complied with the standards for deployment, loading guns, moving into position, performing an anti-fire maneuver and camouflaging equipment.

To calculate the trajectories of projectiles, adjust the fire, track the airspace and take into account the destruction of targets, the Zoo-1 reconnaissance radar systems and the AZK-7M soundometric complex were used.

More than 200 servicemen take part in artillery firing, over 50 units of weapons and military equipment are involved.
