In the Moscow region, during the spring draft, over 450 servicemen became cadets of the military school of cooks of the Western Military District. They have now started practical training in special training with chefs and bakers in cooking and baking bread.
For 4 months of training at the school of cooks, servicemen undergo a month-long course of intensive combined-arms training and a 3-month course of training in their specialty, which allows them to independently prepare up to 120 different dishes in the amount of the category established for a cook.
After studying the basics of kitchen facilities used in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in stationary conditions, cadets will study the procedure for deploying a battalion’s food station and cooking in the field using a mobile bakery unit, a mobile bakery oven, as well as a kitchen of a mobile modular modernized and mobile automobile kitchen.
After passing the exams and assigning the appropriate qualifications, servicemen will continue their further service in the formations and military units of the Armed Forces, as well as other law enforcement agencies.
During the existence of the military school of cooks of the Western Military District, more than 21 thousand highly qualified chefs and bakers were trained.
