Servicemen of the units of radiation-chemical and biological protection (RKhBZ) of the combined-arms formation of the Central Military District (CVO) during a tactical-special exercise eliminated a conditional outbreak of an unknown infection at a training ground in the Altai Territory.

According to the plan of the exercise, an outbreak of a previously unknown form of infection occurred at the military facilities of the training ground, from which the personnel of the motorized rifle unit suffered. Having determined the degree of contamination, the servicemen proceeded to carry out special treatment of the “injured” personnel, objects, weapons and military equipment in the contaminated area. For the disinfection of the territory and buildings, the RCB protection specialists used the ARS-14KV auto-filling station and the DKV-1 military disinfecting complexes with a special solution. With their help, military chemists sprayed a special disinfectant solution on various surfaces. All disinfection work was carried out by military personnel wearing personal protective equipment for skin and respiratory organs. The solution used by military chemists is used to disinfect buildings and premises, as well as to process equipment.

In total, about 500 military personnel from the calculations of the RCB intelligence and aerosol teams, as well as about 30 units of military and special equipment, were involved in the exercise.
