On the eve of the Main Naval Parade on July 20 at 16.00 in the Kronstadt Naval Cathedral, which is the Main Naval Temple of the country, a prayer service “To the Glory of Russian Sailors!” Will be held, in which about 300 servicemen of the Navy will take part. The prayer service will be served by Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga.

As the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, noted, “The prayer service dedicated to the Russian fleet, which turns 325 this year, will undoubtedly emphasize the high spiritual component of the morale of naval sailors who today perform important tasks in the World Ocean. And, of course, the prayer service at the Kronstadt Naval Cathedral will set the traditional tone for the upcoming Main Naval Parade, where Russian sailors will show their skills on ships and submarines under the sacred St. Andrew’s flag.

Earlier in Kronstadt, the ceremony of bringing the relics of the holy righteous warrior Fyodor Ushakov from the Sanaksar Monastery to the Main Temple of the Navy – Kronstadt Naval Cathedral took place.

At the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, in cooperation with the Russian Orthodox Church, the relics of the Holy Righteous Warrior Admiral Fyodor proceeded by boat along the warships that had arrived to participate in the Main Naval Parade. As the boat passed, the crews of ships and submarines greeted the Shrine.
