Servicemen of the tank subdivisions of the Vistula division of the combined arms army of the Western Military District completed a course in night driving at the Krinitsa, Pogonovo, Soloti training grounds in the Voronezh and Belgorod regions.

In the course of theoretical and practical training, driver mechanics studied the combat capabilities and device of T-72B3 tanks, including tank night vision devices with thermal imagers, and also passed tests for safety requirements when operating military equipment.

Upon completion of the theoretical part of the training, the servicemen trained in passing the complex elements of the tank course, including natural and artificial obstacles: a track bridge, slopes, anti-tank ditches, maneuvering through a conventional mine-explosive obstacle, prolonged ascents and descents.

In addition to the full-time unit commanders, the participants in the last year’s Tank Biathlon competition, which determines the best tank crews, were involved in the training of servicemen.

In total, more than 500 servicemen of tank units of the combined arms army of the Western Military District took a course on night driving of T-72B3 tanks.
