Base and raid minesweepers of the Guards brigade of surface ships protecting the water area of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) Magomed Gadzhiev, RT-234, RT-233, RT-71 in preparation for the celebration of the Day of the Russian Navy worked tasks of anti-mine support in the roadstead of the city of Kaspiysk.
The episode of trawling the fairway by the ship’s trawling group will be the first in the demonstration of the combat capabilities of the CFL forces. The ship-sweeping group in the trawling formation will carry out a control reconnaissance search for mines to clear the fairway and ensure the passage of the flotilla’s warships.
Spectators will be shown practical actions for setting trawls, sweeping the fairway, elements of searching and detecting mines, as well as their destruction from standard weapons. During the broadcast of the episode, sound effects and simulations will be applied to indicate the detonation of floating mines.
It is the minesweepers that ensure the safe exit and deployment of the main forces of the flotilla from their permanent bases.
A parade of ships of the Caspian Flotilla, a military sports festival and a festive fireworks in commemoration of the Day of the Russian Navy will be held on July 25 this year. on the roadstead of the city of Kaspiysk of the Republic of Dagestan near the new base of the naval formation of the Southern Military District.
The events will be held in compliance with sanitary and anti-epidemic measures, protecting the health of guests and personnel. All servicemen participating in the holiday were vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection, barrier control, mask regime will also be organized, all guests will be checked the temperature, and the radiation, chemical and biological protection units of the Southern Military District will be disinfected in the places where spectators are accommodated.
