A noticeable increase in the number of people entering into marriage was observed in May. Compared to May 2019, it increased by more than 11 percent. This year, on May 8, on the eve of the Krasnaya Gorka holiday, 30 newlywed couples were married in the capital at the same time in the cabins of the cable car, which became a unique event in the world. The most popular month for marriage in the first half of the year was June, when new families created about 30 percent of the total number of couples.

More than 3.5 thousand solemn ceremonies took place at unusual venues in the first half of this year. The most popular place was the OKO tower, where 344 couples got married. And in the mansion “Royal” from January to June, 292 couples were married. In a mansion on Volkhonka with a view of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, 175 couples got married, and 167 solemn ceremonies took place on the territory of the Cathedral of Matrona of Moscow.
