In the Moscow region, at the Alabino training ground, servicemen of the separate reconnaissance battalion of the Taman motorized rifle division of the Guards Red Banner Tank Army of the Western Military District learned how to throw hand-held cumulative grenades.

In the classroom, hand-held cumulative grenades RKG-3 were used to destroy tanks and infantry fighting vehicles of the imaginary enemy. To get an “excellent” mark, the scouts had to hit the central part of the target, located 25 meters from the line of fire, and hit it no later than 30 seconds after receiving the command.

Previously, the servicemen studied the material part of grenades and their combat properties, safety requirements and rules for handling them, and also mastered throwing techniques from various positions in tactical and physical training classes.

In total, about 70 servicemen were involved in the combat training event and more than 150 ammunition was used.
