In the Moscow region, servicemen of the Red Banner Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District, after receiving a command to bring the formation to an increased degree of combat readiness, received weapons in an organized manner, and equipment that was in temporary storage was put into operation.

After completing combat readiness operations, the servicemen moved in vehicles to the starting area at the railway station in order to fulfill the standards for its practical loading onto echelons. Within 8 hours, two echelons were fully loaded with BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, Msta-S self-propelled howitzer artillery mounts, IMR-3M engineering barrage vehicles, and BTR-80 armored personnel carriers.

In total, more than 6 thousand servicemen and about 1.5 thousand units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved in the check of combat readiness.

All events were held under the leadership of Lieutenant General Sergei Kisel, Commander of the ZVO Guards Tank Army.
