The servicemen of the Southern Military District (YuVO) will carry out large-scale work to assist in the improvement of the territory adjacent to the main Orthodox military church in honor of the Sebastian Martyrs in Rostov-on-Don.

The commander of the Southern Military District, General of the Army Alexander Dvornikov, discussed with the rector of the temple, Archpriest Valery Voloshchuk, as well as with representatives of the construction organization and the command of military units, a roadmap for the improvement of the territory of the temple and facilities under construction.

The approved work plan includes the creation of a park zone on the site of an abandoned and overgrown with wild vegetation ravine. Servicemen from engineering units began to clear the green zone from debris, weeds and dead trees. The stream will also be landscaped, park paths will be equipped and trees will be planted.

At the moment, employees of the North Caucasian Territorial Department of Property Relations are assisting the rector of the temple in the preparation of documents for securing the temple territory.

According to the roadmap, the improvement of the territory of the main Orthodox church of the Southern Military District is planned to be completed by December 1 of this year.
