The lead ship of the Yasen-M project, the nuclear-powered missile submarine Kazan, arrived at the main base of the Northern Fleet, Severomorsk, to participate in the naval parade dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy.

The nuclear submarine “Kazan” took its place on a barrel on the North Sea roadstead of the Kola Bay, where it will remain until July 25. Also on the roadstead are the strategic missile submarine of the project 667 BDRM Novomoskovsk, the destroyer Admiral Ushakov and ships of the Red Banner Kola Flotilla of diverse forces.

In total, 11 surface ships and submarines of the Northern Fleet and the border department of the FSB of Russia for the western Arctic region will take part in the naval parade. The flagship of the parade will be the Pyotr Veliky heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser in its regular parking lot.

On July 25, the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, will go around the parade line of ships on a boat and congratulate the soldiers of the North Sea on the Day of the Russian Navy from the cruiser Peter the Great.

All the crews of the ships participating in the naval parade in honor of the Navy Day were vaccinated against the new coronavirus infection.
