A complex hydrological situation remains in the Amur region. The past precipitation led to an increase in the water level in the rivers. According to the information of the Amur Central Hydrometeorological Service, heavy precipitation is predicted in the Amur region on July 23-24, which will lead to a rise in the water level in the Tom River to the levels of an unfavorable phenomenon in Belogorsk and flooding of low-lying areas.

Over the past day, the water level in the Tom River has risen to 255 cm. When the flood passes, hydrologists predict a further rise of water in Tom to 400-450 cm on July 24-25, which exceeds the level of a hazardous hydrological phenomenon (OHP = 400 cm).

At the same time, the flooding of residential buildings and courtyard areas of Staritsa Island and the garden association “Mezhdurechye” is possible.

Rescuers carry out work on shore protection and increase the height of existing dams on Tom, conduct yard rounds, inform residents about the hydrological situation and the possible development of the situation in case of worsening weather, offer targeted assistance in carrying out work aimed at preserving property, inform about the evacuation procedure and the place location of the evacuation point. Advertisements are posted in places of mass presence of the population.

Monitoring of the hydrological situation is carried out with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles.
