Planned practical exercises in airborne training (ATP) are conducted with a serviceman of the intelligence units of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet).

Preparation for parachute jumps by military personnel is divided into several stages.

At the initial stage of training, the personnel study the theoretical foundations of a parachute jump, the material part and devices, learns how to lay the parachute, adjust the equipment and attach the weapon.

When conducting practical exercises on the ground on specially equipped simulators of the airborne complex, the technique of performing a jump and actions in the event of emergency situations in the air are being worked out.

Airborne training instructors teach personnel how to jump on the D-10 parachute system and on the Arbalet-2 special-purpose parachute system. The main distinguishing feature of the parachute system from others is that “Crossbow-2” provides control and bringing the canopy to a given landing area, which allows a serviceman to safely land when landing on unprepared sites and in adverse weather conditions.

After the ground training sessions and the successful passing of tests, the servicemen will begin the practical implementation of parachute jumps from the Mi-8 helicopter.
