Today, a large rehearsal of the naval parade and the military sports festival dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy, during which the forces of the Northern Fleet traditionally demonstrate their combat capabilities, took place at the Severomorsk roadstead of the Kola Bay.
The rehearsal began under the leadership of the head of the combat training department of the Northern Fleet, Captain 1st Rank Pavel Shulga, with a bypass of the formation of ships on a boat. First of all, the element of greeting the crews of the fleet commander and responding to congratulations on the holiday – three “hurray” was worked out. Two nuclear-powered missile submarines Novomoskovsk and Kazan, the destroyer Admiral Ushakov and ships of the Kola flotilla of diverse forces were in the parade formation on the roadstead of the Kola Bay.
The rehearsal of the military sports festival was attended by the destroyer Admiral Ushakov, a mine-sweeping group consisting of the sea minesweeper Vladimir Gumanenko, base minesweepers Solovetsky Yunga and Yelnya, the small anti-submarine ship Snezhnogorsk and anti-submarine helicopters Ka- 27, as well as the large landing ship “George the Victorious” and landing boats along with personnel and equipment of the Marine Corps. They practiced maneuvering ships in the water area of the bay, simulated artillery sea combat, sweeping sea mines, searching for and attacking a simulated enemy submarine with the help of aviation and flooding forces, as well as conducting a battle for landing troops on the sea coast.
The dress rehearsal of all the festive events will take place in Severomorsk on July 23 according to the scenario of the Russian Navy Day.
Preparations for the celebration of the Day of the Navy are taking place with strict observance by the command of large formations, formations and military units of a set of measures to counter the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection, aimed at preserving the life and health of military personnel, civilian personnel and their families.
Particular attention during its implementation will be paid to compliance with anti-epidemic recommendations. Before the rehearsal and the parade, military medics will conduct a barrier examination of the participants, and specialists from the RKhBZ will carry out special treatment of the stands, berths and Primorskaya Square in Severomorsk.
The servicemen of the Northern Fleet involved in the festive events were fully immunized. All were vaccinated with the Sputnik-V vaccine.
Like last year, a live video broadcast of the Navy Day events will be organized in Severomorsk via the Internet, which will allow viewers to follow the progress of the holiday without leaving their homes.
100 percent of the crews of ships and vessels were vaccinated in advance with two components of the Gam-Covid-Vac preparation. All personnel are fully provided with personal protective equipment – gloves, medical masks and antiseptics, contacts with other military personnel, civilian personnel and the local population are excluded as much as possible, all participants in the festive events are closely monitored by military doctors.
On all ships and berthing areas, preventive measures are taken on an ongoing basis to prevent the introduction and spread of infectious diseases, including the organization of incoming control with body thermometry, daily disinfection and sanitization of all rooms, facilities and territory.
In preparation for the celebrations on July 25, a complex of sanitary and anti-epidemiological measures was also planned with the disinfection of all sites and gathering places for participants and spectators of the holiday by the RCB protection units.
