The dress rehearsal of the 5th Main Naval Parade took place on the Neva River, in the Gulf of Finland and on the Kronstadt roadstead.

More than 50 warships, submarines, ships and boats of various classes, about 50 aircraft of the naval aviation of the Navy, over 4 thousand servicemen were involved in it. The rehearsal was attended by the forces of all fleets and flotillas of the Russian Federation, the FSB Border Service, as well as the crews of the Indian, Pakistani and Iranian navies. Among the ships and vessels involved were: the missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the newest strategic missile submarine Knyaz Vladimir, nuclear-powered missile submarines Vepr and Orel, a copy of the sailing battleship of the Petrine era Poltava and others.

In preparation for the celebration of the Day of the Navy on all ships and berthing areas, in order to exclude the introduction and spread of infectious diseases, preventive measures are taken on an ongoing basis. They include the organization of incoming control with body thermometry, as well as daily disinfection and sanitization of all rooms, facilities and territories.

All personnel of the crews of ships and vessels were vaccinated in advance. All are fully provided with personal protective equipment: gloves, medical masks, antiseptics. Contact with other military personnel, civilian personnel and the local population is kept to a minimum. All participants in the festive events are under the constant supervision of military doctors.

In addition, on July 25, the day of the Russian Navy, a complex of sanitary and anti-epidemiological measures has been planned, during which the RCB protection units will disinfect all the sites for the celebration.
