Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced the launch of a competition among small businesses for grants for projects to develop and commercialize solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.
State support will be provided by the Innovation Promotion Foundation (Bortnik Foundation) based on the results of three competitions: “Start-AI-1”, “Start-AI-2” and “Development of AI”
“Technology teams can receive grants of up to 20 million rubles. The funds received can be used to expand the team, attract external experts, purchase data sets and rent cloud services. And as a result, we get mature solutions for subsequent commercialization and implementation in the economic sector. We expect that the grant support will significantly accelerate the emergence of new products in the field of artificial intelligence, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The recipient of the support will receive funding in the amount of up to 4 million rubles (Start-II-1), up to 8 million rubles (Start-II-2), up to 20 million rubles (“Development of AI”).
You can take part in competitions for the following lots: computer vision, natural language processing, speech recognition and synthesis, intelligent decision support systems, promising methods of artificial intelligence.
When selecting applications, the novelty of the development and the effectiveness of the proposed solutions, the prospects for implementation and commercial implementation will be assessed.
Funding for support programs is carried out within the framework of the federal project “Artificial Intelligence” of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. Until 2024, it is planned to support 569 small businesses and 66 teams of open library developers. 580 development teams in the field of artificial intelligence will undergo an acceleration program by the end of 2024. About 7 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for grant support until 2024.
