Employees of the military commissariat of the Irkutsk region have found the lost award of the Great Patriotic War. They found that Genrikh Aleksandrovich Serebryannikov, a native of the city of Znamensk, Irkutsk Region, was awarded the Order of Glory, III degree.

From the award list it follows that Genrikh Serebryannikov was drafted to the front from the city of Znamensk, Zhigalovsky district, Irkutsk region. He began to participate in hostilities since 1942, when the Gomel-Rechitsa offensive operation was carried out in Belarus.

In the statement of his feat, it is indicated that when the Red Army units approached the Pelitsa water line, Sergeant Serebryannikov, despite the enemy’s mortar and machine-gun fire, provided communication for all the regiment’s divisions, thereby contributing to the successful advance of the Soviet troops. During the offensive on Berlin, the stable communications of the regiment’s units, which he supported, contributed to the destruction of 13 enemy aircraft.

He was also awarded with such state awards as the medals “For Military Merit” and “For Courage”, the Order of the Red Star.

Specialists of the military commissariat of the Irkutsk region are asking the relatives of Genrikh Aleksandrovich to respond to the transfer of the front-line award. Contact phone: 8 (3952) 20-89-81.
