On a tour of the mansion on Razgulyay Square, participants will get acquainted with representatives of the Mamontov merchant dynasty. Maria Galkina, candidate of philological sciences, an employee of the library’s memorial department, will tell you when the estate was acquired and what role the music critic Herman Laroche, composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky, collector Pavel Tretyakov and others played in the lives of its owners.

The excursion was based on the memoirs of Pavel Tretyakov’s eldest daughter Vera Ziloti published in the book “In the Tretyakov House”, historical sketches dedicated to merchant Moscow, and archival documents.
