In all registry offices and wedding palaces, mask regime and social distance are observed.
In the capital’s registry offices, the preliminary registration was canceled. Now they will work as usual, said Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development. She noted that the Moscow registry offices have been working by appointment since June 15. This measure was introduced due to a sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the capital.
“Since then, the registry offices have provided more than 58 thousand services: at a personal reception, the townspeople submitted more than 3.5 thousand applications for marriage, about 16 thousand people received the service of issuing duplicate documents. Residents were sympathetic to the measures taken. About 4.5 thousand applications for marriage were filed online, many questions were asked by Muscovites by phone and in social networks, which reduced the number of personal visits. The epidemiological situation allows us to cancel the pre-registration. Now the registry offices and wedding palaces are returning to their normal working hours, ”added Anastasia Rakova.
According to her, almost 80 percent of the registry office employees have been vaccinated against COVID-19. While working by appointment, registration of the conclusion and dissolution of marriage for previously submitted applications was carried out at the appointed dates and times. On the issues of state registration of acts of civil status and the commission of other legally significant actions, all departments of the registry office and wedding palaces consulted the applicants by phone.
Most of the applications for marriage during the special working hours were submitted to the Wedding Palace No. 4 – about 750. At the end of spring it was opened after the completion of major repairs.
The palace is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00, and from Thursday to Sunday from 09:00 to 20:00. For all newlyweds, live music is played for free at the ceremonies, and after registration, the couple can have a photo session in the landscaped courtyard.
To prevent the emergence and spread of COVID-19 in registry offices and wedding palaces, a mask regime and social distance are observed. The premises are disinfected on a regular basis, employees are provided with masks and respirators, and antiseptic agents are available for visitors. Before the start of the working day, employees take temperature measurements. Specialists with fever and signs of respiratory diseases are not allowed to work. Visitors with high temperatures are also not allowed to enter.
