The station “Prospekt Vernadsky” remains closed.

On Monday, July 26, a section of the Sokolnicheskaya metro line will partially open – the Yugo-Zapadnaya, Vorobyovy Gory and University stations will start operating two weeks ahead of schedule. This was told by the chapter Department of Transport and Development of Road and Transport Infrastructure of the City of Moscow Maxim Liksutov

The station “Prospekt Vernadsky” remains closed to passengers. This is necessary for the construction of transfer routes to the Big Circle Line (BCL). There will be no train traffic between Yugo-Zapadnaya and Universitet stations until August 8 inclusive.

Muscovites are advised to choose alternative routes through neighboring metro lines even after the stations open. This is due to the large passenger traffic: metro and buses KMrunning between “Yugo-Zapadnaya” and “Universitet” will be heavily loaded.

The “Sportivnaya” – “Troparevo” section was closed due to the construction of a transition to the future station of the same name on the Bolshaya Ring Line on Prospekt Vernadsky. For this, the power supply, communication and water supply lines were temporarily disconnected there. Maksim Liksutov added that now the specialists are finishing the laying of the electric cable at Prospekt Vernadsky.

The Big Circle Line is a key Moscow metro construction project. The total length of the ring is more than 70 kilometers, 31 stations will be located on it, 12 of them are already open to passengers.
