A new generation of sewage treatment plants have been built in the village of Kievskoye. They are equipped with modern energy efficient equipment and automation systems. Wastewater will go through a full cycle of mechanical and biological treatment, post-treatment and ultraviolet disinfection.
“Construction began a year ago, and despite the difficult epidemiological situation, the work was completed on time. The capacity of the new treatment facilities is six thousand cubic meters per day. The facility was built as part of a large-scale program for the reconstruction of treatment facilities in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas and the construction of new ones.
“After joining Moscow in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas, a comprehensive inventory and inspection of treatment facilities were carried out, which were transferred to the balance of Mosvodokanal. A number of problem areas were identified where outdated cleaning technology was used and the service life of the technological equipment turned out to be exhausted, ”noted Pyotr Biryukov.
Eight local treatment facilities have already been reconstructed. Three obsolete complexes have been decommissioned, and pumping stations have been erected in their place, which pump waste water to modern facilities.
