Deputy Minister Viktor Yatsutsenko, as part of a working trip, held a conference call with the heads of the Main Directorates of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Far Eastern Federal District. During the meeting, they considered the issues of eliminating the consequences of the passage of a rain flood across the territory of the Trans-Baikal and Khabarovsk Territories, the Amur Region, and also discussed the measures taken to stabilize the forest fire situation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

“The elements continue to test the territory of the Far East. In the north, there are natural fires, in the south, there are complexes of unfavorable meteorological phenomena, which lead to the formation of flood waves, flooding of settlements and economic facilities, ”noted V. Yatsutsenko.

In the flooded zone on the territory of 99 settlements, 2,355 residential buildings, more than 5,000 household plots, 54 socially significant objects, 76 low-water bridges and 408 road sections were found. For preventive purposes, almost 4 thousand people were evacuated, more than eight hundred of them were placed in 23 temporary placement points. Taking into account preliminary forecasts, the grouping of forces and means of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was increased in advance. Rescuers in the amount of 253 people arrived from the Novosibirsk region, Kamchatka and Khabarovsk regions.

The deputy minister also cited data on the forces and means, RSChS involved in extinguishing forest fires in the Far Eastern Federal District – 2,775 people, 320 pieces of equipment, 10 aircraft.

The “Emergency situation in forests” regime operates on the territory of 4 subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories, in Chukotka.

“Today the situation remains difficult and the main efforts of the RSChS are focused on protecting settlements and economic facilities,” noted Viktor Yatsutsenko, “we need to go through the current flood and fire hazard with the least losses, strengthening forecasting and preventive measures. First of all, the emphasis should be placed on the organization of comprehensive monitoring of territories for the timely detection of fires in the natural environment and immediate response to incidents. “

Following the meeting, Viktor Yatsutsenko instructed the heads of the territorial bodies of the EMERCOM of Russia, in cooperation with the executive authorities and local authorities, to continue the implementation of a set of preventive measures and maintain the readiness of the management bodies and the RSChS forces to respond to possible emergencies. In addition, timely take additional measures to ensure the safety of residents.
