More than 100 servicemen from the reconnaissance unit of the formation of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet took part in the practical stage of the assembly for airborne and special tactical training.

Among the participants in the gathering, about 15 young servicemen performed parachute jumps for the first time. The students made their first jump from a height of 800 meters from an Mi-8 helicopter. In total, as part of the training course, each soldier had to perform at least three parachute jumps. Airborne training instructors teach personnel how to jump on the D-10 parachute system

Before the practical execution of jumps with personnel, thorough ground preparation was carried out. Initial landing skills were practiced under the guidance of experienced instructors. The servicemen studied the characteristics, the device and the procedure for laying the parachutes, all the elements of the jump were practiced on special simulators.

In the course of practical training, according to the airborne training program, the scouts were to acquire the skills of landing in full combat gear with standard weapons, including in the dark.

The reconnaissance gathering will last until early September and will end with a battalion tactical exercise with the landing of reconnaissance units in the area where combat training missions are being performed.

All servicemen who took part in the practical stage of the collection for airborne training were vaccinated in advance with two components of the Gam-Covid-Vak preparation. A complex of sanitary and anti-epidemiological measures was planned at the places where scouts were trained for landing, with disinfection protection units carried out by the RCB units.
