“Together with new houses, residents of the districts receive a fundamentally new, high-quality and comfortable urban environment,” said Sergei Levkin.

The renovation program is also necessary for Moscow to ensure a high quality of life for citizens, says Evgenia Murinets, architect, member of the Expert Council under the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation on the formation of a comfortable urban environment.

“The renovation program should not only solve the problem of renovating the housing stock, but also contribute to the creation of a comfortable urban environment. In the process of its implementation, one should not sacrifice quality, a variety of architectural solutions of houses and modern improvement of public spaces in the districts, ”she stressed.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. About a million people living in more than 350 thousand apartments will receive comfortable housing in modern neighborhoods. To implement the program, 513 launch sites were selected.
