The Baltic Fleet (BF) Marine Corps unit has completed the practical training of driver mechanics who will operate the BTR-82A armored personnel carriers afloat, and the crews of the Grad MLRS and Gvozdika self-propelled guns participating in the episode of the battle for the landing during the military sports festival on the Day of the Russian Navy.

In particular, classes with the BTR-82A crews were carried out in stages. First, the equipment was prepared to overcome water obstacles, with a check of the tightness of combat vehicles. Then the marines worked out the ability to overcome the water obstacle as part of the units, with the development of the exit of armored personnel carriers from the landing boat directly into the water under the conditions of the base, their deployment in battle formation, movement as part of the unit, shooting on the move and the ability to keep the distance between the vehicles.

This year, up to 20 units of armored vehicles of the Marine Corps with regular drivers are attracted to participate in the celebrations. All driver-mechanics underwent theoretical and practical training, as well as received the necessary driving practice, and the crews of the Gradov and Gvozdik practiced the element of firing from a closed position.

Preparations for the celebration of the Day of the Navy are taking place with strict observance by the command of large formations, formations and military units of a set of measures to counter the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection, aimed at preserving the life and health of military personnel, civilian personnel and their families.

100 percent of the personnel of the crews of ships, vessels and units of the Marine Corps were vaccinated in advance with two components of the drug Gam-Covid-Vac. All personnel are fully provided with personal protective equipment – gloves, medical masks and antiseptics, contacts with other military personnel, civilian personnel and the local population are excluded as much as possible, all participants in the festive events are under the close supervision of military doctors.

On all ships and berthing areas, preventive measures are taken on an ongoing basis to prevent the introduction and spread of infectious diseases, including the organization of incoming control with body thermometry, daily disinfection and sanitization of all rooms, facilities and territory.

In preparation for the celebrations on July 25, 2021, a complex of sanitary and anti-epidemiological measures was also planned with the disinfection of all sites and gathering places for participants and spectators of the holiday by the RCB protection units.
