Crimean Yunarmeys took part in races on cruising yachts. The two-day Championship of the Krasnodar Territory, held according to international rules, consisted of 24 short races. Moreover, among the participants there are both beginners and professionals. The organizers were impressed by the youthful enthusiasm and enthusiasm – the boys and girls in red berets were not afraid to show up for the competition on a par with world-class masters.

The mixed team of the Yunarmeys consisted of four people. The competitors of “YUNARMIA Crimea” – this is how the guys named themselves for the tournament – were 13 teams. Each had to walk a two-mile obstacle course. Moreover, in the shortest possible time. Obstacles are turns, entering which you need to have time to throw sails, maneuver and not let your opponents get around you.

“At times like this, the crew needs to steer the yacht and listen to the wind at the same time. You come to the finish line, as if you ran a hundred kilometers. Because you are doing your best, ”- Yunarmee Kristina Lobanova shared her impressions of the race. The girl is fluent in drill techniques, she is a member of the Post No. 1 group, and she is also the commander of the Petr Kotlyarevsky Jung Detachment. Somehow Christina realized that sushi was not enough for her and decided to conquer the water element. Sailing, she is sure, motivates to move forward. And when experienced athletes become rivals, then you can live and study for a century. Also with powerful parental support.

The name of the team – the winner of the Championship of the Krasnodar Territory until recently was unknown. The type of “transfer races” does not allow you to win at the expense of an individually prepared vessel – after each finish, the team changed to a new yacht. This made the task much more difficult.

“In this type of competition, well-coordinated work of the crew is important. And our pupils showed themselves from an excellent side. At some stages of the regatta, they “bite” – they were in the top three and made the more skilled participants jittery. This year we did not make it into the top five finalists, but next year the leading positions will certainly be ours, ”explained Vladimir Perminov, chief of staff of UNARMIA in the city of Feodosia.

But the Yunarmeys did not remain without public recognition. The jury noted their determination and perseverance and awarded the prize “For the will to win”.
