Moscow pays close attention to the support and development of mathematics education. The popularization of mathematics is promoted by circles and olympiads, such as the “Mathematical holiday”, the tournament named after M.V. Lomonosov and the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren.
Young Muscovites who are interested in mathematics are also helped by the “Mathematical Vertical” project. It provides children with multipurpose pre-profile training in mathematics and in its related fields, which allows schoolchildren to determine the direction of future education and work earlier and in the future to become highly demanded specialists needed by the city.
