Order dated July 21, 2021 No. 2022-r

An additional 307.3 million rubles will be allocated to ensure a stable water supply in Sevastopol. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The funds will be used, in particular, for the piping of recently explored drinking water wells. The piping procedure provides for the installation of equipment necessary for operating the source, as well as work related to its protection from external influences. Part of the subsidy is also planned to be used to connect the wells with the water supply network, which will ensure the supply of water directly to Sevastopol.

The money is allocated from the Government’s reserve fund. The Ministry of Defense will control the efficiency of spending.

This week, a similar decision was made for wells in Crimea. 222 million rubles were allocated from the reserve fund for their strapping.

The government is actively working on solving the problem of water supply in Crimea and Sevastopol. So, earlier, a plan was approved to ensure a reliable water supply to the peninsula with a total cost of 48 billion rubles. This document includes measures related to repair work on water supply networks, with the construction of modern engineering infrastructure – water intakes, drainage systems and treatment facilities.
