During the military-sports festival in honor of the Day of the Navy, the ships of the Baltic Fleet demonstrated 14 tactical episodes with the implementation of various combat exercises.

Today, 25 July, large-scale festive events dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy were held at the main base of the Baltic Fleet in Baltiysk.

The naval parade and military sports festival involved more than 43 warships, boats, high-speed boats and support vessels, more than 20 units of military equipment of the Marine Corps, 14 aircraft and helicopters of naval aviation, as well as about 1,300 servicemen of the Baltic Fleet.

In the parade formation on the water area of ​​the sea channel of Baltiysk, the battleships of the Baltic Fleet were lined up: the patrol ship Yaroslav the Wise, the corvette Stregushchy, the communications ship Vasily Tatishchev, the small anti-submarine ship Kalmykia, the border patrol ship Nadezhny, the small missile boat Sovetsk, base minesweeper Novocheboksarsk.

During the festive program, the crews of the ships demonstrated 14 tactical episodes with the performance of live firing and demonstration of the capabilities of modern naval weapons and military equipment.

The Commander of the Baltic Fleet, Admiral Alexander Nosatov, walked around the parade formation of the fleet’s warships in the sea channel of Baltiysk on the Serafim Sarovsky boat and congratulated the sailors on the holiday.

The military sports festival dedicated to the Day of the Navy began with the theatrical performance “Vivat, the Navy! In the waters of the Kaliningrad Sea Canal, surface ships demonstrated various elements of tactical actions in accordance with their intended purpose. During the celebration, the base minesweepers of the Baltic Naval Base of the Baltic Fleet swept the fairway, the Ka-27pl anti-submarine helicopter taking off from the Boikiy corvette attacked a simulated enemy submarine, a small anti-submarine ship attacked an enemy submarine, and a small missile ship simulated a missile strike In addition, the missile boats showed elements of a naval artillery battle with a simulated enemy, after which the artillerymen of the Baltic Fleet coastal forces performed a demonstration combat training exercise in fire support for the preparation of the amphibious assault. Further, the landing boats “Lieutenant Rimsky-Korsakov” and “Midshipman Lermontov” carried out an amphibious assault landing on armored personnel carriers BTR-82a.

In addition, in the water area of ​​the Kaliningrad Bay, episodes were played out to free the ship, provide assistance to the damaged ship, and arrest violators of the state border of the Russian Federation. The auxiliary forces of the fleet held a demonstration of the search and rescue and logistics of the ships.

All participants in the naval parade in Baltiysk were vaccinated against coronavirus infection in advance. In order to limit the spread of coronavirus infection during the preparation and holding of the Day of the Russian Navy, body temperature control and other anti-epidemic measures are regularly carried out on ships participating in the naval parade and military sports festival.

All personnel are fully provided with personal protective equipment – gloves, medical masks and antiseptics, contacts with other military personnel, civilian personnel and the local population are excluded as much as possible, all participants in the festive events were closely monitored by military doctors.
