Recently, Novorossiysk hosted the AWPC / WPC Federation Powerlifting Championship Black Sea Cup 2021. The event was attended by an employee of the EMERCOM of Russia, multiple champion of Europe and the world – senior firefighter of the 1st fire and rescue unit of the 12th fire and rescue squad Dmitry Nadzha from Krasnodar.

In a bitter struggle, he won the bench press without equipment with passing doping control in the 110kg weight category with a result of 185kg.

Dmitry did not doubt his victory, since the gap in the weight of the projectile was almost 20 kg. He was also awarded the highest rank in Russia – the AWPC / WPC Powerlifting Federation Elite. They were presented with a certificate, a badge and an exclusive silver ring.

“I have been going to this summit for 20 years. At the beginning of the journey, it seemed that this was an unattainable height, – said the firefighter-athlete. “Now I have a different goal – to go to the most prestigious powerlifting tournament in Las Vegas.”

Dmitry’s immediate plans are to participate in the AWPA / WPA World Champions Cup 2021 in Kursk at the end of August.
