In the Moscow region, at the Golovenki training ground, servicemen of the Kantemirovskaya tank division of the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District passed a test of their driving skills of heavily armored vehicles while overcoming anti-tank ditches.

The complexity of the exercise lies in the fact that when overcoming an obstacle, the driver loses visibility and continues to drive the combat vehicle forward relying only on his own experience. More experienced military personnel showed exemplary performance of this exercise to young recruits, paying attention to typical mistakes. After a detailed analysis of the exercise, the young driver-mechanics were able to independently overcome the anti-tank ditch.

Classes were held in parallel on the main tanks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation T-80U. Before the start of training, the entire personnel of the young replenishment passed a preparatory theoretical course and worked out all the actions on simulators.

The training involved about 150 servicemen and over 50 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment of the Kantemirovskaya tank division of the guards tank army of the Western Military District.
