As part of a planned combat training exercise, Russian peacekeepers conducted a training session to prevent possible violations and ensure security at an observation post in N of the item. Srahavend of the Mardakert region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

At one of the training points, the unit commanders were shown the practical actions of the peacekeepers to prevent violations and a possible attack on the post, using the means of imitation.

“There are points at six training sites and at each training site. In principle, the entire spectrum of tasks performed by personnel at observation posts in Nagorno-Karabakh is covered. From obtaining weapons to preparing food and placing personnel. The final stage of this lesson is a comprehensive training on practical actions of personnel, issues of maintaining combat readiness, ”said Evgeny Stepanov, head of the lesson with Russian peacekeepers at the observation post in the Mardakert region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping continent continue to carry out the tasks of monitoring the observance of the ceasefire on the line of demarcation of the parties in their zone of responsibility, as well as ensuring the safety of vehicles, transportation of food and various goods along the Lachin corridor.

All observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are equipped with fortifications “Checkpoint” designed to protect servicemen from small arms and shrapnel, as well as to conduct all-round observation of the surrounding area.

In addition to monitoring the situation in the zone of responsibility, the personnel of the observation posts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent routinely carry out combat training and trainings.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation has been deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
