Today, a number of ships of the Baltic Fleet, after participating in the festive events dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy in the water area of ​​the Neva and the Kronstadt roadstead, went to sea to make an inter-base passage to a permanent basing point – to the port of Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad region.

The base minesweepers Alexander Obukhov and Vladimir Emelyanov were the first to leave St. Petersburg for Baltiysk. Then a corvette, small missile ships and boats, as well as other ships and support vessels will leave for the passage to Baltiysk.

During the inter-base passage, the crews of warships will have to work out the passage of a narrow section by the ship, conduct exercises to combat the damage to the ships on the move, trainings in communications and electronic jamming, as well as the organization of anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defense.

Last Sunday, the ships of the Baltic and Leningrad naval bases of the Baltic Fleet took part in the Main Naval Parade and military sports festival, which took place in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt.

In total, 20 warships, boats and submarines of the Baltic and Leningrad naval bases of the Baltic Fleet, as well as boats and support vessels of the Baltic Fleet, most of which arrived in the northern capital from Baltiysk, were involved in celebrating the Day of the Navy in these cities.
