The badge of honor is awarded to parents or adoptive parents (parent or adoptive parent in the case of an incomplete family) who have permanently lived in Moscow for at least 10 years, are officially married and have raised or raised five or more children as worthy citizens of the Russian Federation. The award takes place when the fifth child reaches the age of five.

In 2021, 38 parents received the award – 19 families in which 127 children were born and are raising.

The badge of honor “Parental Glory of the City of Moscow” was established in 2009 by a decree of the Moscow Government to strengthen the institution of the family, increase the prestige of a large family, and the social status of motherhood and fatherhood. Since the establishment of the award, 315 large families have become its owners.
