Today, July 27, in Tokyo at the Olympic Games, the final set of awards in taekwondo was played. Another “gold” in the collection of the Russian national team was won by the soldier Vladislav Larin. This is the seventh highest award at the Games in Tokyo for the Russian national team.

In the final, the representative of CSKA in the over 80 kg weight category defeated Dejan Georgievski from North Macedonia with a score of 15: 9.

This was the last type of the Olympic Taekwondo Tournament program. The Russian national taekwondo team for the first time in history became the winner of the medal standings at the Olympic Games, the team secured first place ahead of schedule. The Russians have two gold medals, one silver and one bronze.

It is important to note that all the awards of the 2020 Games in the taekwondo competition were won by the athletes of the Central Sports Club of the Army – Larin’s “gold” was still with Maxim Khramtsov (weight category up to 80 kilograms), Tatyana Minina (up to 57 kg) became the silver medalist, and the bronze Mikhail Artamonov (up to 58 kg).
