The team of the Federal Security Service was in the lead in the special task “Climbing on artificial terrain in bundles” of the all-army mountaineering competition “Elbrus Ring” in Kabardino-Balkaria.

The participants competed at the artificial climbing wall of the Terskol sports center. The servicemen of the Federal Security Service completed the test with a score of 921 points. The second place was taken by the Rosgvardia team with a score of 823 points, the team of the Southern Military District closed the top three with 743 points.

The all-army stage of the international competition for the best high-mountain unit “Elbrus Ring-2021” is held in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic on the basis of the Terskol Mountain Training and Survival Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It is attended by more than 150 military personnel of the high-mountain units of the power departments of the Russian Federation in nine teams from the military districts, the Ground Forces, the Northern Fleet, the Airborne Forces and the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops. For the first time, a team from the Federal Security Service participates in the competition. The competition will end on August 4 this year.
