In the Pskov region, flights of Il-76 aircraft took place, in which the 5th year cadets of the A.K. Serov Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots took part for the first time.

The graduates joined the crews as assistants to the ship commanders. The flight practice is organized under the guidance of experienced mentors and will last 4 months.

During the flights, takeoffs and landings, en-route flights, interaction with the flight management group, as well as the training of the elements of departure for the 2nd circle and takeoff from the “conveyor” were worked out, when, when landing, after touching the runway, the pilots make a take-off with a further set heights.

“With each flight you feel more confident at the helm, you always learn something new from your mentors. For me, it is no longer a small victory that I independently raise such an airplane into the sky. Now, during the practice, the most important thing for us is to learn how to properly conduct radio exchange, since the assistant commander of the ship is responsible for maintaining radio communications at all stages of the flight, ”said Mikhail Golovachev, a cadet-pilot of the Krasnodar Air Force Academy.

In total, about a hundred cadets-pilots on various types of aircraft, including Il-76 aircraft, undergo flight practice in the air regiments of the military transport aviation.
