In Tula, at the Shchekino city hospital, military doctors of the Western Military District (ZVO) continue to treat patients with coronavirus infection.

The medical staff of the hospital receives patients and carries out medical and diagnostic measures. They have at their disposal ventilators, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.

During the entire period of work in the hospital, the military doctors of the ZVO tank association received more than 150 patients. They conduct an initial examination of patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, create medical records and refer the sick to the departments where they receive treatment until negative PCR results are obtained.

Currently, 11 doctors and 20 nurses of the ZVO tank association, together with 20 doctors of military hospitals of the Western Military District, are working in the “red zone”.

In total, the medical unit of the Western Military District includes 133 medical workers, infectious disease doctors, resuscitators and 34 units of special military equipment with the most modern medical equipment.
