In Kazan, the exhibition of exhibits from the fund of the Russian Geographical Society (RGO) and the expeditionary center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was visited by more than 2 thousand people. It will run until July 31st. It presents about 200 exhibits.

The exposition opened within the walls of the main pavilion of the Historical Park “Russia is my history”. Kazan citizens and guests of the capital can get acquainted with rare exhibits brought from expeditions, artifacts, documents from the archive of the Russian Geographical Society. Here you can also learn about the contribution of representatives of society to the study of the European part of Russia, the Urals, Siberia, the Far East, polar territories and other regions.

A special place at the exhibition is occupied by binoculars from the German destroyer T-31, sunk by Soviet torpedo boats in June 1944 near Nerva Island in the Gulf of Finland. The ship was discovered only in 2019.
