Inspectors of the Military Automobile Inspectorate of the Western Military District, within the framework of the month of road safety, conducted counter-emergency training sessions with servicemen-owners of personal vehicles of various categories.

On a specially equipped track, servicemen improved their driving skills in various road and weather conditions. To practice the driver’s actions, various obstacles were equipped and modified to simulate possible road situations. Among them are the overpass, “snake”, “garage” familiar to every driver, but the head of the lesson complicated the road situation for each driver. Inflated car cameras were used to indicate obstacles that suddenly appeared on the way, and high-speed maneuvering in a confined space was complicated by an imitation of a downpour from a fire engine hose.

Lesson leader Head of the 13th IAI (territorial) Ivan Belyak focused the trainees’ attention on the need to gain driving experience in a difficult road situation: “In the conditions of both urban and suburban driving, with the modern congestion of public roads, various abnormal road conditions may occur. The level of training given to drivers in a standard automobile school is insufficient for the successful accident-free operation of automobile transport. These classes are aimed at gaining experience for military personnel to quickly resolve such issues “

The lesson was held on the territory of an airfield in the Leningrad Region, more than 30 servicemen who owned personal motor vehicles in their cars took part in it.
