The command of the Central Military District (CVD) has checked the readiness of the Russian peacekeepers for the upcoming exercise with the armed forces of Russia and Uzbekistan, which will be held in early August in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Termez training ground.

During the work, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Central Military District, Major General Nikolai Tereshchenko, heard reports from the commanders of the units preparing for the exercise, a drill was held, and the material base was checked.

As part of the upcoming exercise, the servicemen of the joint group of forces will work out joint planning and conduct of hostilities. In total, about 1.5 thousand servicemen from the Russian and Uzbek sides will take part in the event. Armored vehicles and aviation will also be involved.
