The crews of the small rocket ship (MRK) “Grad Sviyazhsk” and the anti-sabotage boat (PRDKA) “Yunarmeets of Dagestan” of project 21980 “Grachonok” of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) will make the transition from St. parade.

The inter-base and inter-fleet transition is planned to begin at the end of this week. The servicemen will make a 14-day crossing through the Volga-Don shipping channel from Kronstadt. The route will pass through the Rybinsk reservoir and Lake Ladoga. MRK “Grad Sviyazhsk” and PRDKA “Yunarmeets of Dagestan” will overcome a total of more than 2,5 thousand km and 56 locks, providing passage through water basins with different water levels.

Also, during the transition, the crews of the ships will have to work out the maneuverable elements – the passage of the narrowness by the ship, joint sailing, conduct exercises to combat survivability on the move, training in communications and the setting of electronic jamming, as well as the organization of anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defense.
