In the suburbs of Moscow, at the Alabino training ground, servicemen of the Red Banner Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District used a modular system for deploying a command post as part of checking the combat readiness of the formation.

The main difference between the modular system is the division of departments and services of the management of the union into groups and the placement of groups in autonomous modules, geographically separated by a large distance.

This method makes it possible to increase the survivability of the command and control bodies of a formation and to organize multiple redundancy of command and control channels.

On each module, security and defense, reconnaissance, communications and camouflage are organized. In the event of the destruction of the main module of the command post, the military will organize the management of waxes in another, most strategically advantageous module.

In total, about 15 thousand servicemen of the ZVO tank army on the territory of 5 constituent entities of Russia take part in checking the combat readiness of the association. The control bodies of a tank association, a command unit, tank, motorized rifle, artillery, missile, anti-aircraft missile units, and a radiation, chemical and biological defense unit were involved in the inspection.
