Since the beginning of the year, more than 4,000 contract servicemen have undergone an intensive combined-arms training course with elements of survival in the Western Military District (ZVO) on the basis of training centers.

The program included a field exit, which began with a 50-kilometer march in full gear with standard weapons over unfamiliar rough terrain. During the advancement, the servicemen, using personal protective equipment, also overcame the conditionally contaminated areas.

In addition, they received training in tactical, fire, engineering, physical, military medical, topographic and reconnaissance training, as well as the basics of survival on the ground in various conditions.

The final stage of the course was control firing at emerging and moving targets, throwing a hand-held combat grenade RGD-5.

Servicemen who showed low results, did not cope with the tests, and also voluntarily decided to stop them, will be considered at the meetings of the certification commissions of military units for the expediency of their further military service.

By the end of this year, it is planned that about 2,000 more contract servicemen will undergo an intensive combined-arms training course with elements of survival.
