The working commission under the leadership of the deputy chief of staff of the Central Military District, Major General Nikolai Tereshchenko, checked the special forces servicemen for readiness for the exercises of the Armed Forces of Russia and Uzbekistan.

In the course of the work, a group of officers checked the combat gear and equipment, and also assessed the readiness of the reconnaissance groups to carry out combat training missions in areas with hot climates. Then there was the laying of flowers at the monument to the special forces soldiers and the bas-relief of the formation.

As part of the exercise, servicemen will perform combat training tasks to ensure the territorial integrity of the states of the Central Asian region. The bulk of the Russian contingent will be composed of the military personnel of the peacekeeping unit and the special-purpose brigade of the Central Military District.

As previously reported, the exercise will take place in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Termez training ground. About 1.5 thousand servicemen from the Russian and Uzbek sides will take part in practical actions.
