The team of the Federal Security Service (FSO) is leading according to the results of five special tasks of the all-army stage of the Elbrus Ring competition of the International Army Games.

During the first stage of the competition, the servicemen demonstrated their skills in individual climbing on artificial terrain, orienteering in mountainous terrain, and shooting as part of a group. The main test was a mountainous obstacle course. The servicemen performed all tasks with standard weapons and in full equipment weighing about 30 kg.

According to the results of the first stage of the competition, the FSO team is in the lead in the overall standings (4204 points). In second place is the Rosgvardia team, which scored 3940 points, the Southern Military District team closes the top three with a score of 3774 points.

The all-army stage of the international competition for the best high-mountain unit “Elbrus Ring” is held in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic on the basis of the Terskol Mountain Training and Survival Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It is attended by more than 150 representatives of the power departments of the Russian Federation, consisting of nine teams, including from the military districts, the Ground Forces, the Northern Fleet, and the Airborne Forces. For the first time, a team from the Federal Security Service participates in the competition. The competition will end on August 4 this year.
