During the preparation and holding of the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg, unprecedented medical anti-epidemic measures were taken, which made it possible to avoid infection of servicemen with COVID-19.

They were used from the moment the first trainings began, during the parade itself, and ended with the departure of personnel to the places of permanent deployment.

With regard to the personnel participating in the naval parade, control over the conditions of accommodation, food and accommodation was organized. Medical examinations with thermometry were carried out daily. Laboratory examination of more than 4 thousand servicemen for possible infection has been organized.

More than 70 ships, boats, sailing ships, submarines, supply vessels, 48 ​​units of aviation equipment, as well as vehicles were systematically disinfected.involved in the transportation of personnel. Special treatment of the living quarters of the parade participants was carried out.

Previously, all the crews of the ships were examined and sent to sea for a two-week observation.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense took comprehensive measures to comply with safety requirements during the work of the media representatives involved in the information support of the Main Naval Parade, including those who participated in organizing its live broadcast. More than 300 journalists underwent laboratory tests to identify the causative agent of coronavirus infection.

The preventive measures taken made it possible to prevent the spread of the virus among the participants of the events. At the end of the naval parade, all the servicemen returned to their permanent deployment points, where they are carrying out observational activities and laboratory tests.
