Today in the Military Innovation Technopolis “ERA” the first scientific and technical conference “State and prospects of development of modern science in the direction of” Small spacecraft “was held.
The event was held with the aim of exchanging experience and knowledge in solving practical and applied problems in this area, as well as improving interaction between organizations of the Russian Ministry of Defense, educational and scientific organizations and enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
Colonel Andrey Morozov, Deputy Head of the ERA Military Innovation Technopolis for Scientific and Educational Activities, Doctor of Technical Sciences, noted in his report that the analysis of modern trends in the use of outer space by advanced developed countries shows a continuous increase in the role of small and ultra-small spacecraft for various purposes, used to solve a wide a range of tasks, including information support for troops.
As part of the plenary session, the prospects for the use and control of multi-satellite orbital constellations of small spacecraft were considered, as well as the main areas of application of space systems based on small spacecraft.
18 speakers took part in the work of the sections, discussing the current state and development prospects of the design, onboard special and support systems of small spacecraft, as well as technologies for the deployment, control and application of space systems based on them.
The materials of the conference reports will be included in the peer-reviewed collection of scientific papers “Bulletin of Technopolis” ERA “.
It is worth noting that this is the first conference in the framework of the activities of the new testing laboratory “Small spacecraft” of Technopolis “ERA”. According to the organizers, the event will further expand the areas of interaction between the Russian Ministry of Defense and industrial enterprises that are developing in this area in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
