The meeting discussed the implementation of the federal target program “Social and economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol until 2025”.
The meeting was organized as part of a working trip to identify the main problematic issues and designate points of growth in the regions of the Southern Federal District. The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the socio-economic development of the Southern Federal District, on behalf of the Chairman of the Government, will have to work out, together with the heads of the constituent entities, a unified economic development policy to achieve the indicators of national goals.
During the visit, Marat Khusnullin met with the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, and also held a meeting on the socio-economic development of the subject. Its participants discussed the progress in the implementation of the federal target program “Social and economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol until 2025”.
The meeting discussed the implementation of a comprehensive plan to ensure reliable water supply, within the framework of which the Deputy Prime Minister heard reports on the measures taken to restore emergency areas to reduce losses in the networks, as well as on the work on drilling artesian wells and putting into operation the Beshterek-Zuysky water intake. In addition, the meeting discussed the conduct of geological exploration work in the Azov Sea for the extraction of fresh water. A separate issue on the working agenda was the report on the modernization of the sewage treatment plant system.
According to Marat Khusnullin, today we can safely say that the acuteness of water supply issues is gradually alleviating thanks to the measures already taken. “A lot of work is being done to reduce losses in networks. 14 objects are under construction, but we will not dwell on this, we will continue to put the networks in order. Losses of more than 50% are one of the reasons for the shortage of water, ”he said. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the problem of water in the region has been resolved for the next two years. “Plus, we simultaneously continue to explore new fields. In general, everything is going according to plan, ”he summed up.
During the meeting, the results of work on assessing and compensating for damage caused as a result of an emergency on the territory of the Republic of Crimea were considered.
The meeting also reported on the progress of housing construction, as well as on the construction of road facilities, including the development of access roads from the highway A-291 “Tavrida” Kerch – Simferopol – Sevastopol to the southern coast of Crimea. “I want to say that Crimea is in first place in the country in terms of the number of repaired and under construction roads,” said Marat Khusnullin.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the issue of increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and increasing off-budget investments in fixed assets of the subject. “The problem of seasonality associated with tourism is typical for the Southern Federal District, which gives a large and uneven load on the engineering system and the road network. This problem is especially typical for Crimea. It is important that the load is uniform throughout the year. For this, it is necessary to develop additional business, ”the Deputy Prime Minister said.
