During the launching ceremony, the nuclear-powered ship on the slipway train began to move at a speed of about 1 m / min. to the open gates of the workshop. The commander of the APRK “Krasnoyarsk” Captain 2nd Rank Ivan Artyushin broke a bottle of champagne on the hull of a submarine. Then APRK “Krasnoyarsk” continued to move to the filling basin of the enterprise.

Within a few days, the Krasnoyarsk nuclear-powered missile submarine will be transferred to the enterprise’s embankment, where the completion process will continue.

Let me emphasize that this event took place in the year when we celebrate the 325th anniversary of the creation of the Russian regular fleet. Thanks to the advanced design solutions of one of the leading design bureaus Malakhit, the high quality of work of the SEVMASH shipbuilders, the Russian Oceanic Navy will be provided with the most modern and reliable nuclear submarines of the Yasen-M project in the long term. I am confident that the pace of construction of nuclear submarines of this project, taken by the SEVMASH enterprise, will allow them to be transferred to the Navy in the planned time frame with invariably high quality, “said Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, in his speech at the ceremony.

“Krasnoyarsk” belongs to the fourth generation of nuclear-powered multipurpose submarines. It is the second Project 885M Yasen-M nuclear-powered submarine missile cruiser. APRK was founded on July 27, 2014. The lead ship of the series is the nuclear-powered submarine Kazan.
